Neil Robinson Memorial Trophy Races, Bishopscourt Racing Circuit 21st – 22nd July
Another great weekend at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit, I’m definitely getting the hang of this R6.
Apart from a minor spill at the hairpin on the opening lap in one of Saturdays Superbike races when I was caught out by cold tyres after being held on the grid after a red flag incident things couldn’t really have gone any better.
I qualified on pole for the 600 races and third quickest in the Superbike class which can’t be bad.
Three comfortable wins in the 600 races with decent lap times so progress is definitely being made.
Up against the big bikes I reckon I faired pretty well, two thirds and a fourth in the feature Neil Robinson Memorial race, the first 600 across the line !
Just a pity about the wee off in the second race on Saturday we potentially missed out on another third place there.
A few quid earned and a few more lessons learned so we are happy.
As many have seen I have really struggled this year getting my head around the R6 but I finally think that we have cracked it and made a huge step forward this weekend.
Now I’m really looking forward to getting to brands hatch this weekend for next round of Thundersport GB
But a big thanks as always has to go to all my sponsors and helpers who have been great standing by me and are always right there with me without you guys I would not be able to be doing what I’m doing !!!
