Northern Ireland Motorcycle Festival 2018
Jason Lynn, looking forward to 2018
2017 was Jason Lynns most successful so far in his racing career, winning all the major championships in Ireland, North and South, these included the Ulster Supersport Championship, Irish Supersport Championship, Southern Supersport Championship and the Mondello Masters Championship. He also won the Bertie Mann Award, The Davy Wood Memorial Trophy and the Dunlop Masters Young Rider Of The Year Award
2018 started well when he lifted the MCUI Supersport Award at the La Mont Hotel and followed this with the Blackhorse Short Circuit Of The Year Award at the Cornmarket Motorcycle Award Ceremony in the Crowne Plazza Hotel in Belfast where he shared the stage with the likes of World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea.
The most lucrative of his 2017 winnings has to be the Dunlop Masters Young Rider of the year award run by Mondello Park.
The cash prize from this a massive boost enabling him to progress his racing career across on mainland UK.
Plans for 2018 which without the Dunlop Masters sponsorship would not be possible, include a full season competing in the British Thundersport Championship along with a few rounds of BSB Supersport. Jason will also be entering in some rounds of the Irish Championships.
Jason was presented his first of the Masters cheques at the Northern Ireland Motorcycle Festival in the Eikon Exhibition Centre by Fergus Brennan from Mondello Park when he also signed his Sponsorship Contract.
The hard work starts in a few weeks with testing his Yamaha R6 at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit followed by a few test sessions at various circuits in England before the Thundersport season kicks off in earnest.
After signing his sponsorship contract Jason said,
Nice to finally sign my contract with mondello Park for my young rider of the year award. Huge thanks to the guys that are involved in this great award. It’s an honour to have you as apart of the team.
Many thanks to all of my sponsors who have helped give me this great opportunity,
